Hi guys,

I have cleverly concealed the motive of this email with a fake subject line cos this thread may go on for a while. :P

It's Senior E-fairy's birthday on 21st May. It's a Sunday, so she will expect us to surprise her on Friday. Let's outsmart her and celebrate on Thursday instead! What say? :P

As for the card, I was thinking of using the 'Food Interactions' book cover, and inserting a 'NO' just before 'Interactions'. Since she's known to photosynthesise during lunch hour, her card will be 'Food - NO interactions'. Muahahaha! Back cover can be her N(T) book 'Food and You'. We can change that to 'Food and Who?' :D

Ideas for gifts?? I was thinking of smuggling in the bf as part of the suprise. He was an editor in my team loong loong ago :) Once we have some basic ideas, I will email the others. :)

BB - I was JUST about to ask if anybody's b'day is coming up. Cool, then shall we push back the Turkish food party by 2 weeks, so that it can team outing-cum-celebrate ES's b'day meal. Can come up with some lame excuse about somebody not being free on 9th May etc etc

About the present, pleeeeease don't ask me to vote for flowers again......
Why don't we get some ribbon and tie up a big box and put her bf in it. Hey I know him (CK, rite?) from soccer.

EL - hm...we'll let her hubby have the honour of buying the flowers then...
how abt sth for her house? she's gonna move in in June...

MN - Errr... what's going on? :P We need stuff that she doesn't have lah! Ok let me sms CK and ask if she would like anything specific.
ps: BB, why do all marathon runners think alike?? I was talking to the bf yesterday, and he also suggested we pack CK in a box and give her. Sheesh. "We HAVE a budget!" I told him. :D

BB - Don't think it's a 'marathon runner mentality', more like a guy's thing probably. Maybe we've watched too many of those shows where a lady dressed in a bunny suit or something scanty jumps out of a big birthday cake. hehe. Thought it could be done the other way too.

MN - Eeeeks! Ok, here's basic concept #567 - Girls do not, I repeat, girls DO NOT like scantily clad guys jumping out of ANYWHERE! Spread the word amidst your fella guys! Everything does not work the other way round! :/

BB - Really? Awwww geez......thought i was gonna see ck in some little number :O

MN - You do know that all these emails will be forwarded to ES by yours truly, right after the celebration? Apologise to her, quick! :D

BB - No i seriously don't know that these emails will get forwarded to her. But if so, I "sincerely apologise if my actions have caused confusion...." (quote unquote a certain local political candidate) :P

MN - Okay I just spoke to the bf. He has agreed to be smuggled in, and he says she wants a cordless phone!

BB - How about a banana cake for a change? Always chocoloate. Why banana? Coz that's her nick on the Orange blog, right? How about asking ES to bake the cake herself? heheh. Or maybe you ladies can bake the cake? Think she'll appreciate it alot more. I can provide recipe. Hahah

BB - Hey y'all,
Just want to confirm that we are gonna push back our turkish food outing so that it can also be (belated) celebration for ES's birthday. If so, I'll come up with a crappy excuse for next week and EL will come up with fishy excuse for the following week.

MN - I LOVE bowling. Unfortunately, I suck at it. :D

So BB, you send an email saying you can't make it on Tuesday, and ask to move to Wednesday. Then I will send an email to say EL and I have a TN meeting on Wednesday and move to Thursday. BH can say she can't make it Thursday. Friday is a public holiday and ES's on leave on Monday. EL say Tuesday cannot, and wednesday I have NTU again, so we fix on Thursday?

BB - Wow, that's an elaborate plan! I was thinking of saying my neighbour's dog passed away and the funeral's for one week, so I can't make it for the whole of next week :P

And hey, I suck at bowling too. That's why I'm getting other 'suckers' to go along. It's a Saturday afternoon. How about it? Can name the team "Queen & Fairies" :D

Bad news. My maid is back in the Philippines for home leave and isn't back yet. As such, I have to double up as househusband when I get home. Am afraid I won't be able to make it for the Turkish food party next Tuesday. In fact, may not be able to make it for the whole of next week. Geez....

So how? We move it to next week? ES's on leave on monday, wednesdays I am in NTU, friday I have a much-awaited concert to attend. Tuesday or Thursday can? What say, gals?

ES - hmmm get lunch delivered in one of these days? and remainder money goes to the ice-cream/candy fund!

and EL, maybe you can object to ES's proposal to ordering food in....say you're allergic or something :O

ML - So sorry MN, currently our illustration team are rushing many many of artworks. T_T So, i dun think can help up the card already.
But, i draw out the flowers liao, left only the sunlight havent do. sorry again..

Wondering if you could help with finishing up the illustration. Just need to add a sun on the top left, with two rays of sunlight only. One falling on ES's head and the other falling on the plant.
Can? Pretty please?? Sacrifice this week's FMP lah! Very simple one! :P
