Food - No Interactions - Part II

MN - So BH, you're in charge of the cake? Must come in early on Thursday, to avoid bumping into her on the train/bus. A cake, even in a plastic bag, is SO recognisable! :P

Secondly, as she's on leave today, am trying to get all the groundwork done so she does not suspect anything. For example, if she even sees me with Won, she'll know it's for her card... so am trying to get the card out today :P

Plans for execution? I thought we could get CK in via the back door. I can go to fetch him, and then pretend to be in G1, give ES a call and say something like "Can you come to G1 now?" We'll let her walk to G1, find it empty (or filled with random people) and by the time she gets back, we will deposit CK on her chair! She can come back and be shocked/surprised. Others will then spring out/walk over to the celebration area.

Any other ideas?

BH - hahaa!! good suggestion! must take pic of her reaction! :P ok! Will arrive early with the cake!! must 'chop' a place in the fridge also!! so, can I ahead and call up coffee bean to order d cake?

MN - Whoa you guys gave me heart attack man... so obvious with that BIG envelope! :P

BB - Haha....and i was feeling super sleepy after lunch, till my eyes bulged when i saw that big envelope!!! :O

it would be more suspicious if i were to walk over to ben since he's just sitting beside me!
if she saw the envelope maybe she'll think that it's for someone else as we wouldn't want her to see it?

MN - Ok CK just told me that he'd asked ES to check his email all day... darn, and the execution plan is in his email... I hope she didn't read it!! :O

He has told her not to check anymore, but you never know.

Worst case - she still doesn't know it's thursday cos I didn't mention it in the email. But we have to change the execution now... I can't call her to G1 anymore.

Geez!

BB - Ok, desperate situations call for desperate measures. Plan B then.

EL starts rolling on the floor, complaining of a stomachache, saying it's something she ate. "What can it be? What can it be? Perhaps the Food and Nutrition expert will know" we all shout. ES rushes over to EL's cubicle and starts to get worried as more people crowd around out of natural curiousity (Free, unsuspecting accomplices!). EL continues to shout and rant and even froths from the mouth. With ES's view and attention covered, we sneak CK in from the back door. Somebody gives EL the signal by pinching her cheek real hard, then she suddenly stands up and points to ES's cubicle and asks,"WHO'S THAT?" Hehe...smooth operation, we bring CK in right under ES's nose!

Ok ok, if that was too dramatic for you people, we can always for the Plan C.

I ask one of my 4th floor frens to go to reception area. He pretends to be EL, the Bio writer. I come in and ask ES and BH to go out with me because 'EL' is kicking up a fuss outside, about ms scheduling problems. ES goes out and tries to help us settle the problem with 'EL'. That will easily take up 10mins and give you guys ample time to sneak CK, present and cake to her cubicle. After about 10mins, BH or I will pretend to come in to get the schedule. When you fellas give the all clear, this person will go out, and that will be the signal for the situation to clear up. Then, we can come in together. But may have to pay my friend for acting along, hehe.

How? Plan B or C? I personally prefer B.....

B for BB!

MN - Uhhh... I don't think we can afford a long drama — ES is a smart girl (she's my protege, remember? Muahahaha!) and she'll quickly guess. I guess we have to do an instanteneous thingie - give her no time to think or react.

I have an idea but I still think it's too long. :( BB, you can call her for a meeting at the round tables behind (a prob with your LSS chapter) and then you come back to your desk and start working. She will come looking for you, and find CK sitting at her desk.

Anything shorter than that? How about CK discreetly makes his way to my cubicle and replaces me. He can stand up suddenly and shock the hell outta her.

Any more ideas? Must be very short-execution types because we know she knows some drama's gonna happen on Friday. There should be NO WAY she should guess it's on Thursday instead.

BB - Ok sure, I can call her to the round tables for meeting with BH and me. Then you fellas sneak CK in thru the front door. Just make sure people don't go, "HEY is that REALLY you, CK??? What are you doing back here?!?!?!" That would totally give it away...

MN - But how long will you guys meet for? And you must have a solid issue to discuss with her. Come up with one if needed.

Aiyah I am so nervous now :O

BB - Can can can, we'll meet her to discuss the cartoon characters and icons. Should be more than half ready by tomorrow, right, BH?

Don't worry, BH and I will take the seats facing the office, forcing her to sit facing the windows. Then when we see that things are ready, we'll 'close' the meeting.

Oh, maybe you guys can meet to discuss how to improve the icons... she may call the meeting herself... wait and watch...

BB - Huh? So if she calls for the meeting today, BH and I act blur and say today not free, push meeting to tomorrow? Haha.

Yah, BH and I don't like the cartoons too. Boy is too prim and proper (needs to be more rugged) and gal not pretty enough. Will work on them.


MN - I think your design team leader needs to be involved in the metg. Won is on leave today so ES won't call the meeting today. She will suggest that you guys meet ML along with Won hopefully tomo. Try and have that meeting at 4:30 or so, and be done by 5ish... I'll try and sneak him in around then.

BH - btw, she doesn't open the fridge right?

MN - No, she doesn't. Just don't be seen with the cake at any point in time :P

You're coming in slightly early tomo? Just hide the cake as cleverly as you can and then take it out only after CK is here. :)

Subject: Reprint amendments to PFP tomorrow


Dear all,

Thanks for your contribution for ES's reprint amendments. Please note that the PFP is tomorrow. (The actual birthday is sunday).

The card is currently making its rounds. If you have not received it yet, kindly do not yell at me from your cubicle, "MN, I never signed ES's birthday card, ah! How ah?" Just calmly pick up the phone, dial 167 and then yell at me.

We're getting her a cordless phone for her new home. We got her husband-to-be to pick it so that she has to pretend all her life that she likes it. :P

We're smuggling him in tomorrow around 5:30 or so, for the big surprise. As soon as you hear some commotion around her cubicle, do make your way to help yourselves to the chocolate leaf cake that BH has spent days and days researching on (including after-office hours!). *Applause* :)

ES - yup, sure.

MN - Do you guys really need me? I gotta finish the new TS proposal by this week, wanna send it to circulate for approval just before I go, so it's approved by the time I get back. Yes, it WILL take that long. :/

MN - Guys... make sure you're there till he is here okay... don't make it look like you're dragging the meeting... BB, crack a few jokes to kill some time first ok? Our team's meetings tend to be very short anyway... so take your time to even get to the round tables. Could one of you go and put some books on the round tables near Roy so they look 'occupied'. This will help you guys go to the Physics side tables, out of sight from CK's entry area :D

BH - hahah! ok... i'll just say that it's very bright at that side, so we go over to the other side where there's shade :D

Don't light the candles yet... but do get the lighter from AAR/F... we need to buy time for everyone to gather around... so lighting candles will take up that time :)
