MN and her beau Viv have finally tied the knot. It was a simple yet stylish wedding, held at a classy restaurant in the heart of town, with a sumptuous spread of simply spicy, mouth-watering indian dishes. The groom was decked out in an elegant business suit, looking very dapper indeed. The bride was stunning in a figure-hugging sari which would have reduced Naomi Campbell into a state of utter jealousy.
The Sixpack, arriving fashionably late, as is the wont of celebrities (and isn’t it undeniable that we are celebrities in our own right?), strode into the softly-lit restaurant, to be greeted by an extremely iron handshake from Viv, and a much softer one from MN. We took our place at one of the tables near the bridal altar, claiming it as our own and daring anyone who didn’t belong to our inner circle of trust to intrude. Of course we always have a soft spot for the ladies, so BH and CK, by virtue of their timeless beauty, were proffered seats among the table of alpha males, thus firmly and irrevocably thrusting themselves into our inner circle of trust.
But this is about the wedding, and not about the Sixpack, and so we shall remain as focused as we can on the things that matter. It was a joyous occasion for one and all, and before the feasting began, we were all treated to a slideshow of how MN and Viv came to be together. Looking at the slides and the photos, it felt to me as if their relationship had been written in the stars long before they ever knew each other existed. To put it in Hollywood romance movie terms, they were “meant for each other”. Cliched, but true.
After listening to one of the love stories of the century – best friends becoming loving couple living happily ever after – one could not help but admire them. Isn’t it one of life’s greatest moments of happiness to be able to spend the rest of your life with someone who is both your best friend and lover? A rarity, it seems, but for that very reason it is all the more to be treasured. Here’s wishing you all the best, MN and Viv, and may you always be happy and healthy together. Cheers! =D
And now, I will walk you through some of the sideshows that were taking place as the wedding dinner progressed.

Wow. Am utterly flattered. :)
//I somehow overlooked the fact that I was supposed to put stuff like paneer cheese into small metal containers; instead I just dumped everything onto the plate. Was that a big faux pas?
Naah. That's the beauty of Indian food - no rules. :)

Hahahaha! O great Cap'n, a sari is always figure-hugging. :)
Absolutely fabulous stuff!
It's like 'Bride and Prejudice' meets 'Brokeback Mountain'!
When I grow up, I want to be just like MN and Viv - A happy married couple with lots and lots of gorgeous golden saris!
