Friday Faze Christmas Edition

It was the Friday Faze to faze all Friday Fazes. The significance of the event could not be underestimated. Not only was it the Christmas Edition of Friday Faze, it was also MN's last day in the Orange Building. Never again would the stars yield such a constellation. It was an occasion to be cherished and embellished in our hearts...

BB is almost the spitting image of his little son

NT tries out his Dr. Evil look.

The party planners. BB tries to act cute (again)

BB still at it...

Ahhhh...he gives up at last

Wrapping the presents. It looks more delicate than brain surgery.

ML and RC getting some 'fresh air'.

NT can't decide whether to be Santa Claus or a mugger out on Christmas Eve. Muggers don't wear soft toys on their middle fingers, NT!

The three essentials of every office Christmas party - Santa cap, disco ball and radio

Decorations up and good to go

Stonehenge built out of canned drinks

The rather un-Christmassy food

The Christmas log cake

ES and MN discuss plans to get inside the Christmas Loghouse and steal the Cradle of Life without getting cream all over them

This one's for you J fans out there

People stream in...soon the place will be packed. But wait...what's wrong with this picture? Oh, yeaaaaah....where's ML's camera? :D

Everyone is in a Christmas mood

MV, RC and II make up an interesting trio

Is BH secretly learning the Art of Paparazzin' from ML?

NT gets the ball rolling. Unbelievably, IL has brought manuscripts to the party...what's the point?

NT tries to get the crowd's attention with his Snoop Dog impression

We can see who's most impressed by that. Watch out, NT...they're coming for you!

Ah, yes. The mandatory speech by GM LGH.

Everyone seems to be listening to him intently...

Except for the people who know how to have fun! Too bad for S.Wee though, he's too nervous about LGH's speech and starts biting his nails. Ain't that a gal thing?

They're all thinking, "C'mon you bloody bugger, finish up that speech so we can get the real fun started!"

At last he cuts the cake

And GK is royally sabo-ed by the other Friday Fazers into presenting MN with her farewell gift.

MN delivers an emotionally charged farewell speech

The fun and games begin with "Who am I?". It's always good to see the bosses in a fluster for a change. Although with HH, you would've probably seen her in a fluster everyday anyway.

II tries not to laugh too hard at his boss's feeble attempts

HH stoops to AN's level

The crowd are amused

MN gives HH some tips

It is II's turn and boy is he in trouble as the name on the sticker stuck to his forehead is that of his boss!

"Wah lau eh you all sabo me!"

EK roars in approval at AAR's simulated striptease. Gosh, this isn't a gay club, take your act elsewhere!

Having satisfied EK, AAR calms down...and prepares to sing

"Look at me, I'm SEXYYYY!!!"

EO's thinking "Where's my knight in shining armour to save me?" The aforementioned knight in shining armour is nowhere in sight.

He remains out of sight and EO has to extricate herself...which she does with remarkable skill and speed

CL scratches her head in bewilderment

But flanked by the two Santa helpers, she does well

CC shows off his Elvis Presley-esque crooning skills

Absolutely brilliant...encore!!

We should really have gotten IL to sing instead, would have been worth a bucket of laughs....but AN did a fantastic job, kudos to her.

JC's secret identity is captured on camera...she's actually a vampiress! Check out those eyes :O

EO receives her prize from LGH

SM wins the most Christmassy outfit award for men...

while CN walks off with the women's prize

MN inspects her farewell goodies

When will I see that smile again?

The MN groupies crowd around with their eyes on the prizes

Wouldn't some of us (not me larrrr) give an arm or a leg to sit at the same table as these lovelies?

The Friday Faze planners

Striking a different pose

MN gets another gift from GK; I'm pretty she would have wanted EK to be doing it instead :p

MN views her poster. From what I gather, she was "disgusted" and so was BT. But too bad, it's laminated some more, cannot give excuse that spill water and damage the poster so must throw away...hahaha

MN grins and bears it

The party was a smashing success. What a force - the Sixpack and GFPT combined can sweep all before their path. What a pity that it (probably) can't happen again

For everyone else, it was a great way to let their hair down and have some good clean fun. For MN, it was a fitting end to a fabulous four years in the Orange building.

Thanks for the memories...

Santa's little helper

- THE ORANGE BUILDING'S SALVATION ARMY CHRISTMAS CHARITY DRIVE -

Just before Friday Faze kicked off at 4pm, MN persuaded KW to help transport the 3 boxes of donated items from MCIS staff, to the Salvation Army in Serangoon. It was a successful logistics operation carried out with the greatest of ease and deftly precision.

But those boxes didn't just grow legs and move themselves from MCIS into KW's car. So just how did they get there?

NT "Ah Beng" Elf, was his usual disenchanted and nonchalant self; squatting peacefully in ML's cubicle, letting AW play with his donkey, when the peace was shattered by the call of festive duty from MN.

NT: "jingle tie, jingle tie, jingle all the way..."

See what 2 cups of vodka and orange juice can do for employee morale - it makes them smile and sing while they work.

NT: "How MN, can get extra day off for my hard work?"
MN:" You wish right?"

NT:" wah biang! that vodka is really giving me problem to push this blaady trolley straight siah!"

The honeymoon is over

RC, MC editor by day, DJ and Pool shark by night, returns to the Orange building after a hot(and freezing) 2 week winter honeymoon in Europe. Welcome back RC, now get to work! :D

Looking fresh as an Edelweiss from all that clean crisp Swiss air (more like Kurt Cobain, actually, sporting that hip, scraggly, Grunge musician look)

RC went all the way to Switzerland and all we got was a bar of
the finest Swiss chocolates

No more eggs

The farewell booty - durian puffs, a duck-like chicken card, some colour pencils and a cake (handphone not included)

The "OMG I didn't expect something like this!" look

Followed by gleeful laughter

Reading the chicken card

She looks really happy :)

The hen and a giraffe, apparently

Opening the box of delightfully sinful durian puffs

Clearly durian isn't kryptonite to her :p

Random shot of NT, his cup and the half-eaten box of puffs

Durian Wars Part I: Attack of the Giant Puff, starring The Hen as Princess Leia and BH as Padme Amidala

Feasting

Durian Wars Part II: Return of the Puff. Boo Skywalker unleashes his powerful lightsaber to defend Leia and Padme

Leia and Padme chuckling at Boo's lightsaber. Apparently it's fizzed out. Never clean the pipes of the lightsaber properly?

Group shot without fake kryptonite

Kryptonite for the soul

NT's interpretation:

Cake: $5.00
Box of durians puffs: $10.00
Finding out that durian related products are like kryptonite to your boss: PRICELESS

The Triad Room

It's a small room, barely larger than the sensory deprivation chamber (read: cubicle) you spend half your life in. The walls are stained with bodily fluids and the floor is perpetually moist. It is the only place in Singapore where the air actually gives the impression of cigarette smoke, without there being any. It is the occassional secret lair of the 6 pack.

The proprietors of the room appear to be a anorexic auntie with faded red hair and smoke blackened teeth. Her partner (I hesitate to use the term 'husband' because the image of her with a man in a wedding photo refuses to visualise) is always smiling. Always. It's a smile I associate with drugs. They look like this: A fairly close resemblance, I think.

Can't get you outta my mind

NT - Can't get her off my mind!
The rest - AWwwwwww.....

;)

Baddie at the beach

Quotable quotes from baddie at the beach:

GK - But why must it be 8 am? Why can't it be 9 am???? It's a saturday!

RB - Hahahaha! Baddie at the beach? Never heard of it!

MN - So where's NT? Call him. I don't have his number.

GK - Errr... I don't have his number either. You mean you did not fix up a location when you finalised the plan?

MN - Errr... no. Yesterday wasn't exactly a planned or productive day. *sheepish look*

GK - What did you guys do?

MN - We err... kinda shopped a bit for FF... and then DK got hungry so we went for dinner and forgot that we hadn't really finished shopping, and then they kicked us out of the shop because it was closing time...

GK - Hmmm...

MN - Anyway. So how do we contact NT?

GK - Let's call ML and ask him for NT's number.

MN - Oh yeah, that way we can really check if he's awake and doing his church work!

GK - Or we can call BB.

MN - Oh yeah, BB should be up. He's the maid this weekend.

*NT is contacted, he reports to the venue, and play starts*

MN - Okay the shuttlecock's stuck in the tree.

GK - Where? Can you see it?

MN - There! I can see its 'ass'.

*MN throws small round object towards the tree, guys run helter-skelter*

GK - Wah liao! When you throw a stone into the tree, you must tell us first!

MN - It's NOT a stone! It's a seed! :/

*MN throws racquet into tree and retrieves shuttlecock*

*All play really badly*

MN - It's the trees man... the branches change the direction of the shuttle cock.

*All move to a treeless zone*

MN - It's too windy. We need the trees to block the wind.

NT - The sun is in my eye.

*All move to another zone*

NT - It's too bumpy.

GK - My place has a court where we can play.

*All proceed to court*

MN - Okay, let's kick some ass now.

NT - Oh. So that wasn't ass-kicking?

GK - Wah liao, MN you always hit my face on purpose one!

NT - MN, so how exactly do you hit the face like that?

MN - Oh you wanna play civil? FINE. Let's play civil! :/

NT - Oh now we're gonna play civil??

GK - We should have a net.

MN - I can be the net. I can stand there in the centre with my arms stretched out.

*NT makes a gesture - that of hitting MN's face with the racquet*

MN - Ummm... Maybe we should just buy a net.

*MN and NT keep hitting the shuttlecock after it bounces off the floor and play as if that's totally normal*

GK - What are you guys playing??

MN - Errr... tennis?

*GK tries underhanded tactics*

GK - MN, look! That guy at the basketball field looks just like a young EK!

MN - Oh yeah he does!

*MN misses shuttlecock due to the good-looking distraction*

GK - MN, you wanna play NT now?

MN - Ok can. Are you tired?

NT - Huh?? "GK, are you tired?"?? How about "NT, are you tired?" :/

*NT hits the shuttlecock high up. Thrice. In his own court*

MN - NT, stop playing with yourself!

NT - Errr.. that didn't quite sound right...

MN - Against! Against! I meant 'Stop playing against yourself!'

*NT clears leaves and sits down on the court*

GK - MN, you shagged him out man.

NT - This was good exercise.

GK - We should play more often.

MN - This is the best threesome ever.
